HOW DOES IT WORK?

TruSculpt^® iD uses innovative Monopolar RF (radio frequency) technology to selectively target fat and therapeutically heat it.  Fat cells are heated until they are irreversibly damaged and eliminated by passing through the body naturally.  TruSculpt^® iD is clinically proven to be safe and effective to get rid of stubborn fat cells permanently.  Cutera's proprietary, low frequency and uniform delivery technology, penetrates deep to treat the entire fat layer from skin to muscle.  In fact, clinical studies resulted in an average of 24% fat reduction after one 15-minute treatment in 90 days time.  

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER THE PROCEDURE?

Pre-Treatment Consultation

- Dr. Fawn Winkelman and her staff will evaluate your body and its symmetry and focus on the areas that bother you as well as make recommendations to help you get the look you want

- The consultation is complimentary and may include measuring your body weight, circumference and fat thickness

- We will take photographs to help you compare how you look before and after your TruSculpt^® iD treatment

Preparing for your Treatment

- Come well hydrated prior to treatment

- Remove all jewelry, including any body piercings near the treatment area

- Clean the treatment area well, removing all make-up and/or lotions

- Shave the treatment area and/or return pad area as needed

- Please note, all treatment areas are marked on your skin before the treatment begins

- TruSculpt^® iD has been compared to a hot stone massage with minimal discomfort

- Procedure time depends on the size and number of treatment areas (typically 15-30 minutes for the abdomen and flanks)

- There is no visible downtime after the procedure and you can immediately resume normal activity

During and After your Treatment

- The TruSculpt^® iD handpiece will be placed on the treatment area and turned on

- For the treatments requiring gliding motion, glycerin will be applied to your skin and the handpiece will be moved slowly and gently within the treatment area

- As the treatment begins, you will feel a gentle warming snesation, which will intensify as the temperature increases

- The temperature will be increased slowly, allowing you to acclimate comfortably to the therapeutic heat.  The temperature can also be decreased as needed.

- Immediate post-treatment effects may include temporary warmth and redness for up to 24 hours, mild swelling, for up to 4 days, and sensitivity to the touch for about one week

- Results are visible after just one treatment, with the maximum results seen after 12 weeks

- Additional treatments may be required to achieve the personalized results you desire

Treatments are not advised for the following:

- Pregnancy

- Cardiac Pacemakers or internal defibrillators (regardless of treatment area)

- Treating over implanted devices like metallic implants, electronic implants, or other medical implants

- Treating over reproductive organs

- Treating over wounds or recent tattoos 2 weeks old
